Learning to think and forming your thought bank…
Getting in to the interesting part of thinking big for me may not be the same as for you. So feel free to find your own.
- Day to day decisions are almost automated but if you think just few minutes before you start the day and form a structure this is for me the start of all changes of my thinking process.
- Just think about your own perception about self and others and imagine you are wrong then just use this principle and I can reassure that you may be able accept most thinks but may not be right. So try to think actively before judging or jumping in to conclusions.
- When you have an obvious answer in front of you and everyone agrees don’t take this as the most accurate but be critical and use alternative theories. ‘Simplest hypothesis’ may be the most possible answer but in this day and age that may not be the most attractive.
- Try to be empathetic when ‘thinking big’ and test your ideas against many others unlike you and imagine how your thoughts and actions might affect others.
- Be flexible and make your thinking process current and adaptable in situation where you have to deal with fellow human beings.
- Don’t be complacent with ‘google searches’ this is not evidence and finding ‘evidence’ doesn’t make you right or wrong. So specially if your action going to affect others please be empathetic and test for alternative theories.
One of the interesting books I came across is Super Thinking By G Weingerg and L McCann. Link attached here – Super Thinking: The Big Book of Mental Models Hardcoverhttps://www.amazon.co.uk › Super-Thinking-Book-Me…
